As an NFB supporter you will play an important role in supporting a national movement that
ensures Equality, Opportunity and Security for Blind and Visually Impaired persons. Locally,
your financial assistance will ensure that on-going chapter programs such as:
Assistance for new NFB members to attend the annual NFB National Convention. One of the largest gatherings of blind and visually impaired persons held by our National Organization
Conducting activities to bring awareness about our blind and visually impaired community members [their lives, achievements, goals and struggles] in the Washington DC area
Provide financial assistant to allow the NFB affiliate to fund The Bell Program: The Bell Program is an annual two week Summer Camp conducted for blind and visually impaired Washington DC students. Students are able to experience the same activities as sighted students with the assistance of trained professionals and volunteers
