2026 NFB of DC State Convention

GREETINGS FEDERATION FAMILY!

Join the members of the National Federation of the Blind of the District of Columbia as we celebrate the 2026 Annual State Convention!   Convention activities begin on October 8th and conclude on Saturday, October 10th.  The national representative will be Everett Bacon, President of the National Federation of the Blind of Utah and 2nd Vice President of the NFB Board of Directors.  The convention activities are as follows:

 

Thursday, October 8, 2026

The NFB of DC Senior’s Division Luncheon and Workshop

Bus Boy and Poets Restaurant

Time: 11 AM-2 PM 

Cost: $50

The 11th Annual NFB of DC Blind Women’s Empowerment Conference

General Session 

The Washington Plaza Hotel 

 

Time: 9-12 Noon/ 2-5 PM 

 

 

NFB of DC Awards Luncheon 

Time: 12-2 PM 

The meal selection is as follows:

1.       Seared Salmon Filet, Quinoa Rice , Parmesan Broccoli Gratin and Balsamic Glaze 

2.       Mushroom and Ricotta Stuffed Chicken Breast with Roasted Garlic Mash Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus and a Marsala Demi Glace 

Each meal will be served with a Ceaser Salad and German Chocolate Cake. 

 

If you plan to attend the general session and the lunch banquet the cost will be $65.
